Behind the Brand
Marcus Thomas is the Founder and CEO of MARCUS ALEXANDER. As a Chicago native, his Southside roots are deeply embedded in all of his designs.
He is a son of Howard University and after his undergraduate studies, moved abroad in search of a new perspective. He studied the craft of shoe-making and design at the London College of Fashion.
Marcus melds the utilitarian grit of his upbringing with the beauty and art of fashion — this duality is where his power resides. It is his mission to create a space for limitless self-expression and purpose.

MARCUS ALEXANDER is a love letter to Chicago, my hometown. It is a manifestation of the powerfully, inspiring forces that molded me.
